The IHG One Rewards Premier Select Credit Card offers a 60,000-point anniversary Free Night, Platinum Elite status, and travel credits, but is it worth it?

Chase and IHG Hotels & Resorts announced The Brand New IHG One Rewards Premier Select Credit Card on October 1, 2026. The card has a $350 annual fee and a launch offer of 200,000 IHG One Rewards bonus points after $5,000 in purchases within the first three months from account opening. The offer is available through November 18, 2026.
Cardmembers can also earn 10,000 additional bonus points by adding an authorized user within the first three months. Together, the two bonuses provide up to 210,000 points. Long-term value depends on how often you stay with IHG and whether you can use the expiring quarterly hotel dining vouchers.
The IHG One Rewards Premier Select Credit Card is built for frequent IHG guests. Its core ongoing benefits are a 60,000-point anniversary Free Night, automatic IHG One Rewards Platinum Elite status, 20 annual Elite Night Credits, fourth Reward Night free, and several credits.
The $300 annual Food & Beverage Rewards benefit arrives as four expiring, single-use $75 vouchers. Eligible charges generally must be placed on the primary cardmember's room bill during a qualifying IHG stay. The $200 airline statement credit requires at least $250 in qualifying direct airline purchases and is currently listed only through December 31, 2027.
Frequent IHG guests who can use both credits and redeem the annual Free Night well may recover the $350 fee. Occasional guests may get a better fit from the $150-annual-fee IHG One Rewards Premier Credit Card.

Sebby's Take: Works best for frequent IHG guests who can consistently use the anniversary Free Night, Platinum Elite status, Elite Night Credits, and stay-based dining benefits. Occasional IHG travelers will likely get more value from a simpler travel card.

Use the calculator below to estimate how much value you may get from the card based on your IHG stays, credits, and anniversary Free Night.
New cardmembers can earn 200,000 IHG One Rewards bonus points after making $5,000 in purchases within three months of account opening. The limited-time offer expires on November 18, 2026.
You can earn an additional 10,000 bonus points by adding an authorized user within the first three months. Together, the two opportunities provide up to 210,000 bonus points, subject to their respective requirements.
You cannot currently have the IHG One Rewards Premier Select Credit Card or have received its new cardmember bonus in the past 24 months. Another IHG One Rewards credit card does not automatically disqualify you. Approval and bonus eligibility remain subject to the application and offer terms.
Cardmembers receive one $75 IHG One Rewards Food & Beverage Reward voucher per calendar quarter, for up to $300 each year. These vouchers have several restrictions:
Spend at least $250 on qualifying flights booked directly with airlines in a calendar year, and the card will reimburse $200. If you already meet that threshold, the credit should be easy to use.
The current benefit ends on December 31, 2027. Don't assume the same credit will continue in 2028 when calculating the card's long-term cost.
United TravelBank, the trusted-traveler credit, DoorDash, and Instacart each have separate enrollment rules and expiration dates:
DoorDash and Instacart should count toward your calculation only if you would use them anyway. Both also require attention to renewal terms.
The anniversary Free Night covers a standard room night and tax at a redemption level of up to 60,000 points. Cardmembers can add IHG One Rewards points to book a higher-priced award. Mandatory resort fees and incidentals remain the cardmember's responsibility. The night must be redeemed and the stay completed within 12 months of issuance.
A second Free Night, currently capped at 60,000 points, becomes available after $40,000 in calendar-year purchases. Compare its value with the rewards you would earn by putting that spending on other cards.
The fourth Reward Night free benefit applies when you redeem points for at least four consecutive nights at the same hotel. It can be used on an unlimited number of eligible stays, but it does not apply to paid stays or Points & Cash bookings.
The card provides automatic IHG One Rewards Platinum Elite status while the card and loyalty accounts remain eligible and in good standing. Spending $25,000 in a calendar year grants Diamond Elite status for the rest of that year and the following year. Early check-in and late checkout remain subject to availability.
Cardmembers receive 20 Elite Night Credits after opening the card and 20 each year afterward. Starting after the first year, the credits are deposited by February 1. Holding multiple linked IHG One Rewards cards does not increase the 20-credit automatic allocation.
Spending can add more credits:
At $15,000 in spending, the card would generate 6 credits from the per-$5,000 benefit plus the 5-credit threshold bonus. With the 20 automatic credits, $15,000 in purchases would give you 31 Elite Night Credits before any eligible hotel stays. The automatic credits reach IHG One Rewards' first 20-night Milestone Reward.
The card earns:
The advertised rate of up to 28X at IHG combines three layers: 12X from the card, up to 10X for being an IHG One Rewards member, and up to 6X from Platinum Elite status. The card itself earns 12X on eligible IHG spending.
Cardmembers also receive a 30% discount when purchasing IHG One Rewards points with an eligible IHG One Rewards credit card. The discount cannot be combined with another points-purchase offer.

The IHG One Rewards Premier Select Credit Card costs $200 more each year. It offers another $200 in annual Food & Beverage Rewards and another $100 in annual airline credits at face value, plus a higher Free Night cap, Platinum Elite instead of Gold Elite status, five more annual Elite Night Credits, and additional spend-based benefits.
A frequent IHG guest who stays every quarter, charges meals to the room, books at least $250 in direct airfare, and redeems the 60,000-point Free Night well can get enough ongoing value to justify the higher fee. The IHG One Rewards Premier Credit Card has a lower break-even point for travelers who cannot use those benefits consistently.
The New IHG One Rewards Premier Credit CardAnnual fee: $150
Sebby's Take: A great card for IHG loyalists due to the multipliers. You also get an anniversary night (valued up to 40,000 points) every cardmember year for keeping the card, which helps offset the annual fee.

The IHG One Rewards Premier Select Credit Card may fit you if:
Consider the IHG One Rewards Premier Credit Card instead if you stay with IHG only a few times per year, dislike expiring quarterly vouchers, or cannot reliably use the IHG One Rewards Premier Select Credit Card’s larger credits. Skip the IHG One Rewards Premier Select Credit Card’s launch offer if meeting its spending requirement would cause you to overspend or carry a balance.
Keep these limitations in mind before applying:
The card has no foreign transaction fees. The card also has baggage delay insurance, lost luggage reimbursement, and purchase protection. Coverage limits, exclusions, and eligibility are governed by the Guide to Benefits.
You cannot currently have the IHG One Rewards Premier Select Credit Card or have received its new cardmember bonus in the past 24 months. Another IHG One Rewards credit card does not automatically disqualify you. Approval and bonus eligibility remain subject to the application and offer terms.
No. It consists of one single-use $75 voucher per quarter. Eligible charges generally must be on the primary cardmember's room bill at a participating IHG hotel during a reservation in that cardmember's name.
The benefit is currently listed through December 31, 2027. Future availability has not been confirmed.
The card includes automatic Platinum Elite status. Spending $25,000 in a calendar year earns Diamond Elite status for the rest of that year and the following year.
It covers one standard room night and tax, up to a redemption value of 60,000 points. You can add points for a more expensive award. Mandatory resort fees and incidentals remain your responsibility, and you must complete the stay within 12 months of issuance.
The 200,000-point offer can make the first year attractive if the $5,000 requirement fits your normal spending. After that, the $350 annual fee is hardest to defend unless four quarterly IHG stays already fit your travel pattern. If they do not, compare the IHG One Rewards Premier Credit Card before renewing.
