How the Chase Sapphire Reserve® JSX Offer Works

The offer is straightforward:

1. Log in to the Chase app or website.
2. Select your Chase Sapphire Reserve® and go to Chase Offers.
3. Find the JSX offer and activate it.
4. Book directly on JSX.com.
5. Charge at least $200 to the enrolled card by December 14, 2026.
6. Keep the offer and booking confirmation until the statement credit posts.

Only cardmembers who see and activate the offer can use it. Activate the offer before payment, and make the transaction directly through JSX. A booking through Chase Travel℠ or another travel agency does not qualify.

What Is JSX?

JSX operates scheduled public charter flights and sells seats individually. You book a seat on a published route and schedule, similar to a commercial airline, without paying for an entire private aircraft.

The airport experience is different from a typical airline trip. JSX often uses private terminals or fixed-base operators, commonly called FBOs, away from the main passenger terminal. Domestic check-in closes 20 minutes before departure, and JSX recommends arriving at least 30 minutes early when checking bags.

Passengers are screened through TSA Secure Flight. JSX also uses metal detectors, X-ray equipment, and baggage screening at its facilities. You generally avoid the standard TSA checkpoint in the main terminal.

JSX operates 30-seat aircraft with no middle seats. Depending on the aircraft, cabins use either 2-by-1 or 1-by-1 seating, so every passenger gets a window or aisle seat.

Flights include snacks and drinks, power outlets, and more legroom than a typical economy cabin. Starlink Wi-Fi is available on JSX’s E135, E145, and ATR 42 aircraft.

Shorter airport time

The biggest advantage is the time spent on the ground. A later check-in cutoff and smaller terminal can make a short regional trip much easier, especially when the JSX facilities are close to your home and destination.

Compare the actual terminal locations before booking. An FBO can be more convenient than a major airport, but it can also be farther away or have fewer transportation options.

No middle seats

Every seat is either a window or aisle. That makes the cabin more comfortable for couples, solo travelers, and anyone who wants to avoid being squeezed into a middle seat.

Checked bags are included

Hop On fares include two checked bags weighing up to 50 pounds each. All In fares include three checked bags. Passengers can also bring two personal items that meet JSX’s size requirements and fit under the seat.

Travelers carrying golf clubs, ski equipment, or several bags should still check the rules for oversized and specialty items before paying.

JSX can work well for routes that are too far to drive comfortably but short enough that a conventional airport trip feels disproportionate. The advantage grows when JSX serves convenient terminals at both ends.

Where JSX Falls Short

The route network is limited

JSX focuses on a smaller collection of destinations across California, the western U.S., Texas, Arizona, Nevada, Colorado, New Mexico, Florida, and select East Coast and international markets.

Schedules may also have fewer daily departures than a large airline. If a flight is canceled, there may not be another JSX departure later that day.

Fares can be higher

A JSX ticket may cost more than an economy ticket on a major airline. Compare the total cost after baggage fees, parking, ground transportation, and the $200 Chase Offer.

A higher fare can still make sense when the terminal location and shorter check-in process save several hours. If the conventional flight is much cheaper and equally convenient, take the cheaper flight.

Ground transportation can be awkward

Major rental-car companies may not operate at JSX facilities. Some locations offer rentals through Go Rentals, while others may require a rideshare or a trip to the main airport terminal.

Check transportation options at the arrival airport before booking. A convenient departure can lose its advantage if the rental-car pickup adds an hour and a large transfer fee.

Fewer backup options

Large airlines often have more aircraft, frequencies, and partner flights available during a disruption. JSX’s smaller operation can leave fewer same-day alternatives.

Travelers heading to a wedding, cruise, international connection, or another fixed event should leave extra time and consider how difficult it would be to recover from a cancellation.
