See which San Diego restaurants are part of Chase Sapphire Reserve® Exclusive Tables and how to use the up to $300 dining credit.

San Diego is spread out along the coast and inland neighborhoods, so the right Chase Sapphire Reserve® restaurant depends on where you will actually be. The list is useful, but location matters.
Last checked: July 8, 2026. Restaurant participation can change.
For San Diego, Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables currently has a broad list compared with many markets of 13 participating restaurants. The list has changed, with 2 restaurants appearing to be new and 8 earlier restaurants no longer showing. The credit is useful only if the restaurants fit how you already plan to dine.
Eligible Chase Sapphire Reserve® and J.P. Morgan Reserve cardmembers can receive up to $300 per calendar year in statement credits at Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables restaurants through OpenTable.
The credit is split into two windows:
To use the credit, dine at a participating Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables restaurant and pay with an eligible card. The credit does not apply to every OpenTable restaurant, unused credits do not roll over between the two six-month periods, and participating restaurants can change.
Eligible cardmembers can also link an eligible card on OpenTable for access to special or primetime reservation inventory. Terms apply.
Chase Sapphire Reserve®Annual fee: $795

Juniper & Ivy in Little Italy is a chef-driven farm-to-table restaurant with Michelin Bib Gourmand recognition, a seasonal menu, and an award-winning wine list. The credit is useful for a polished San Diego dinner where two people can meaningfully reduce the check.
Marisi in La Jolla focuses on Italian hearth cooking, handmade pastas, wine, classic cocktails, and an Amalfi-inspired room, with Sunday live music noted by OpenTable. Use the credit for a coastal date night or pasta-and-wine dinner rather than a tasting menu.
Animae downtown is a modern Asian steakhouse in Pacific Gate Tower led by James Beard finalist chef Tara Monsod, with Filipino, Thai, and Japanese influences. The $150 credit helps with a premium night out, but steaks and cocktails can push the bill well above it.
Herb & Wood in Little Italy is chef Brian Malarkey’s wood-fired California restaurant, built around seasonal local ingredients, vegetables, seafood, and larger plates. It is a versatile credit target for a group dinner, date night, or private-dining-adjacent celebration.
The Marine Room in La Jolla is an iconic oceanfront seafood restaurant where waves can crash near the dining-room windows. Use the credit for a view-driven special occasion; the setting is the point, and the $150 half-year credit will likely cover only part of dinner.
Island Prime on Harbor Island is a waterfront steakhouse from chef/partner Deborah Scott with bay, skyline, and Coronado Bridge views. It is a convenient credit use for visitors or locals wanting steak and seafood with scenery, though the final bill can outrun the credit.
Paradisaea in Bird Rock/La Jolla occupies the historic Piano Building and serves polished California cooking with cocktails, art, and Michelin Guide mentions from 2023 through 2025. The credit works for a stylish neighborhood dinner where food and room both matter.
Herb & Sea in Encinitas is a coastal California seafood restaurant near Moonlight State Beach from the Herb & Wood family, with wood-fired cooking and a sustainable fresh-catch program. Use the credit for a North County seafood dinner rather than driving south.
Lilo in Carlsbad is a 24-seat chef’s counter with a seafood-focused multi-course tasting menu inspired by the California coast. The $150 half-year credit is a partial offset for a high-end tasting experience, not a way to make omakase-style dining cheap.
Vintana in Escondido is a penthouse-level restaurant at The Centre at Lexus Escondido, serving modern California/American food with countryside views. The credit is most useful for North County readers who want a local celebration spot without driving to the coast.
Jeune et Jolie in Carlsbad serves contemporary French food through a Southern California lens, with a four-course menu listed at $120 per guest and a more casual bar menu for walk-ins. The credit helps offset a refined North County special occasion.
Callie downtown serves chef Travis Swikard’s Mediterranean cooking with San Diego produce and a broad regional lens. The credit is practical for shareable dips, breads, seafood, and larger plates, especially when you want a serious meal near downtown hotels or events.
MOTHERSHIP in North Park/South Park is a tropical, space-themed cocktail bar and small-plates restaurant with Esquire Best Bars recognition and 90-minute reservation experiences. Use the credit for a drinks-forward night, understanding it is more bar experience than classic dinner.
Island Prime. Steakhouses can be an easy way to use the benefit, but they are also where the credit can feel smallest against the final bill.
Juniper & Ivy, Marisi, Animae, Herb & Wood. If you want the credit to feel like a normal dinner credit, start with these before looking at pricier or less convenient options.

These restaurants appeared on an earlier version of the San Diego Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables list but were not showing on the current city page as of July 8, 2026:
That does not necessarily mean they are gone permanently. OpenTable participation can change, so check the current page before booking.
San Diego looks like a strong market for using the Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables credit, but only if the eligible restaurants overlap with places you would actually visit.
The dining credit works best as a rebate on a real meal, not as a reason to invent a new dinner plan. If San Diego's list changes where you eat just to use the benefit, value it at less than face value.
Before booking, check the current OpenTable Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables page for San Diego and make sure the restaurant is still participating.
