New Orleans is a city where dining can drive the trip. The Chase Sapphire Reserve® credit is useful if the current list includes restaurants you already wanted, but it should not replace your actual New Orleans food plans.

Last checked: July 8, 2026. Restaurant participation can change.

Quick Take

For New Orleans, Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables currently has a useful but still selective list of 7 participating restaurants. The list has changed, with 2 restaurants appearing to be new and 5 earlier restaurants not showing now. The credit is useful only if the restaurants fit how you already plan to dine.

How the Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables Credit Works

Eligible Chase Sapphire Reserve® and J.P. Morgan Reserve cardmembers can receive up to $300 per calendar year in statement credits at Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables restaurants through OpenTable.

The credit is split into two windows:

  • Up to $150 from January 1 through June 30
  • Up to $150 from July 1 through December 31

To use the credit, dine at a participating Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables restaurant and pay with an eligible card. The credit does not apply to every OpenTable restaurant, unused credits do not roll over between the two six-month periods, and participating restaurants can change.

Eligible cardmembers can also link an eligible card on OpenTable for access to special or primetime reservation inventory. Terms apply.

New Orleans Restaurants Currently on the Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables List

Brennan's

Brennan’s is the French Quarter classic for Creole cooking, breakfast, bubbles, and flaming Bananas Foster in a landmark dining room and courtyard. The credit is especially useful for a celebratory brunch or dinner where the history and service are part of the reason to book.

GW Fins

GW Fins is a French Quarter seafood restaurant where the menu changes daily based on what chef Mike Nelson’s team sources locally and globally. Use the credit for a polished seafood dinner; note the collared-shirt dress policy for men and avoid athletic wear or caps.

Jewel of the South

Jewel of the South is a French Quarter tavern in a Creole cottage, known for Chris Hannah’s cocktail program, a courtyard, and Southern/Creole food from Philip Whitmarsh’s kitchen. The credit works for a cocktail-forward dinner that still feels rooted in New Orleans.

La Petite Grocery

La Petite Grocery on Magazine Street is Justin Devillier’s contemporary Louisiana restaurant in a restored Uptown grocery building. Use the credit for blue-crab beignets, Gulf seafood, and polished neighborhood dining when you want Garden District energy instead of Bourbon Street.

Restaurant August

Restaurant August in the CBD is the formal contemporary French/Creole option from the John Besh/BRG orbit, set in a historic 19th-century building with chandeliers, a wine room, and tasting-menu energy. The credit is best for a special-occasion dinner.

Dakar NOLA

Dakar NOLA is Serigne Mbaye’s Uptown Senegalese tasting-menu restaurant, built around pescatarian courses, reservations, and a roughly two-hour meal. The credit is a meaningful offset for a distinctive New Orleans experience, but review allergy limits and party-size rules first.

Acamaya

Acamaya is Ana Castro’s Bywater Mexican seafood restaurant, with masa, mariscos, raw preparations, and a lively room that broadens the New Orleans list beyond Creole staples. The credit is useful for a modern, shareable dinner when you want something different from classic French Quarter picks.

Notable Picks

Best seafood option

GW Fins. Good fit when seafood already matches the meal you had in mind.

Best practical shortlist

Brennan's, GW Fins, Jewel of the South, Restaurant August. I would check these first for a practical reservation, then move to the splurge picks only if they already fit the night.

Newly Added Restaurants

These restaurants appear to be new since the earlier version of the New Orleans Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables list:

  • Dakar NOLA — currently showing for New Orleans as of this update.
  • Acamaya — currently showing for New Orleans as of this update.

Restaurants Previously on the List

These restaurants appeared on an earlier version of the New Orleans Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables list but were not showing on the current city page as of July 8, 2026:

  • Muriel’s Jackson Square
  • San Lorenzo at Hotel Saint Vincent
  • Shaya
  • Tableau
  • The Bower

That does not necessarily mean they are gone permanently. OpenTable participation can change, so check the current page before booking.

Final Thoughts

New Orleans looks like a average market for using the Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables credit, but only if the eligible restaurants overlap with places you would actually visit.

The credit is easiest to value when it applies to a restaurant you already wanted. If New Orleans's list changes where you eat just to use the benefit, value it at less than face value.

Before booking, check the current OpenTable Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables page for New Orleans and make sure the restaurant is still participating.
