New Jersey is a regional Chase Sapphire Reserve® market, not one downtown list. The credit can be useful, but only after you check whether the participating restaurants are near where you live or travel.

Last checked: July 8, 2026. Restaurant participation can change.

Quick Take

For New Jersey, Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables currently has a broad list compared with many markets of 30 participating restaurants. The credit is useful only if the restaurants fit how you already plan to dine.

How the Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables Credit Works

Eligible Chase Sapphire Reserve® and J.P. Morgan Reserve cardmembers can receive up to $300 per calendar year in statement credits at Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables restaurants through OpenTable.

The credit is split into two windows:

  • Up to $150 from January 1 through June 30
  • Up to $150 from July 1 through December 31

To use the credit, dine at a participating Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables restaurant and pay with an eligible card. The credit does not apply to every OpenTable restaurant, unused credits do not roll over between the two six-month periods, and participating restaurants can change.

Eligible cardmembers can also link an eligible card on OpenTable for access to special or primetime reservation inventory. Terms apply.

New Jersey Restaurants Currently on the Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables List

Red Hook Tavern

Red Hook Tavern is a Brooklyn American tavern known for a serious burger, classic plates, wine, and a neighborhood feel near the waterfront. Because the New Jersey page includes NYC restaurants, use the credit here only if Brooklyn is convenient and you want a straightforward tavern dinner.

Manhatta

Manhatta is a Financial District restaurant high above Lower Manhattan, with modern American cooking, prix fixe formats, an a la carte bar menu, and skyline views. The credit is best for a planned NYC date or visitor dinner where the room and view are part of the value.

Sailor

Sailor in Fort Greene is a neighborhood bistro from April Bloomfield and Happy Cooking Hospitality, with familiar dishes, a deep wine list, and polished service in a small Brooklyn room. Use the credit for a Brooklyn dinner that feels more local than destination-hotel dining.

Musaafer - New York

Musaafer New York in TriBeCa is an ornate Indian restaurant inspired by regional travel across India, with custom interiors, a broad wine program, and a dining-room age note on OpenTable. The credit fits a special-occasion meal where $150 reduces but will not define the bill.

Tavern Next Door

Tavern Next Door in Red Hook is a cocktail-bar sibling to Red Hook Tavern, with Paris-nightlife inspiration, disco-era drinks from Conor Johns, snacks, and a burger. Use the credit for a Brooklyn bar dinner when cocktails are central to the plan.

Don Angie

Don Angie in the West Village is the hard-to-book Italian-American favorite from Angie Rito and Scott Tacinelli, known for polished red-sauce energy and signature dishes like lasagna for two. The credit is worthwhile if you can land a reservation and already want a NYC splurge.

Razza - Jersey City

Razza is the actual New Jersey standout: Dan Richer’s Jersey City pizzeria, known for wood-fired pizza, local ingredients, James Beard nominations, and major pizza accolades. The credit can cover a substantial casual dinner compared with the pricier NYC entries on the same page.

San Sabino

San Sabino in the West Village is the seafood-leaning Italian-American sibling from the Don Angie team, built for oysters, crudos, pastas, and polished downtown service. Use the credit for a difficult reservation where the statement credit helps justify a special NYC night.

Felina Steak- Jersey City

Felina Steak at Hudson House is a Jersey City waterfront steakhouse with Manhattan skyline and Statue of Liberty views, dry-aged beef, seafood, cocktails, and rooftop-adjacent energy. Use the credit for a New Jersey celebration where scenery and steaks both matter.

Maddy Rose at Liberty House

Maddy Rose at Liberty House is a Jersey City waterfront restaurant with panoramic skyline views, steaks, seafood, cocktails, and an approachable contemporary American menu. The credit is practical for a local date night or family celebration without crossing into Manhattan.

Una Pizza Napoletana

Una Pizza Napoletana on the Lower East Side is Anthony Mangieri’s highly regarded pizzeria, focused on a short menu of naturally leavened, wood-fired Neapolitan-style pies. The credit can go far here if you can get in, making it one of the better value plays on the NYC-heavy list.

Union Square Cafe

Union Square Cafe is Danny Meyer’s longtime Flatiron/Union Square American restaurant, known for warm service, seasonal cooking, pasta, seafood, and a serious wine program. Use the credit for a dependable NYC dinner where hospitality is the draw as much as the menu.

SAPPEISAN

SAPPEISAN is a New York Thai restaurant listing on OpenTable, with a lively room and Thai dishes positioned for a casual but full dinner rather than a formal tasting menu. Use the credit when you want a more affordable NYC option, and confirm the current menu before booking.

Momofuku Noodle Bar - Uptown

Momofuku Noodle Bar Uptown is the Columbus Circle-area outpost for noodles, buns, and Momofuku’s casual Korean/Japanese-influenced cooking. The credit is useful before Lincoln Center, Central Park, or Midtown plans because $150 can offset a full casual meal for two.

Scarr's Pizza

Scarr’s Pizza on the Lower East Side is a New York slice-shop-turned-restaurant known for naturally leavened dough, house-milled flour, whole pies, slices, and a downtown scene. The credit is a value-friendly use if you prefer pizza and drinks over another formal dinner.

Ci Siamo

Ci Siamo in Manhattan West is an Italian restaurant from Danny Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group, built around live-fire cooking, handmade pasta, vegetables, and a busy bar. Use the credit before or after Hudson Yards, Penn Station, or theater-adjacent plans.

Kabawa

Kabawa is a New York Caribbean restaurant from chef Paul Carmichael’s team, bringing island flavors, bold seasoning, and a more distinctive point of view than a generic downtown brasserie. Use the credit if you want a special meal with Caribbean roots rather than steak or pizza.

l'abeille

l’abeille in TriBeCa is a French fine-dining restaurant with Michelin recognition, tasting-menu structure, wine pairings, and precise service. The credit is best treated as a $150 discount on a planned splurge, not a reason to book an otherwise unnecessary luxury dinner.

Potluck Club

Potluck Club on the Lower East Side serves modern Cantonese American food in a lively Chinatown-adjacent room, with shareable plates and nostalgic flavors. The credit is a strong group-dinner option because multiple dishes and drinks can reach the $150 window naturally.

Hawksmoor NYC

Hawksmoor NYC is a Gramercy steakhouse in the historic United Charities Building, known for dry-aged beef, seafood, cocktails, and a grand dining room. Use the credit for a traditional steak dinner where $150 helps but will not cover the full experience.

Estela

Estela on Houston Street is an intimate downtown restaurant known for creative small plates, wine, and Michelin-recognized cooking from the Ignacio Mattos orbit. The credit fits a serious NYC food itinerary where you value shareable, chef-driven dishes over large portions.

Muku

Muku is a New York Japanese omakase-style listing; confirm the current format and price before booking because small sushi counters can have strict seating times. The credit is useful when you want a predictable splurge and the half-year $150 meaningfully offsets one seat.

Sunn's

Sunn’s is a New York Korean-influenced restaurant listing on the regional page, giving cardholders another downtown option beyond Italian, pizza, and steakhouses. Use the credit for a focused dinner, but confirm current menu details because OpenTable blurbs can change quickly.

The Tavern at Gramercy Tavern

The Tavern at Gramercy Tavern is the more flexible front room of the Union Square Hospitality Group classic, with seasonal American cooking, a la carte ordering, and strong service. The credit works well when you want Gramercy Tavern quality without committing to the dining-room tasting format.

Blu on the Hudson

Blu on the Hudson in Weehawken is a true New Jersey waterfront option with skyline views, a large bar, sushi, seafood towers, steaks, pastas, DJs, and dramatic cocktails. Use the credit for a view-driven night out where staying on the Jersey side is part of the convenience.

Jeffrey's Grocery

Jeffrey’s Grocery is a West Village neighborhood seafood and raw-bar restaurant with oysters, fish, simple American plates, and a casual downtown feel. The credit is practical for an NYC lunch or dinner that feels less expensive and formal than the fine-dining names nearby.

ASKA

ASKA in Williamsburg is Fredrik Berselius’s two-Michelin-starred Nordic restaurant, with a long tasting menu built around Northeastern ingredients and Scandinavian technique. Use the credit only for a deliberate splurge where $150 is a small but welcome reduction.

Altro Paradiso

Altro Paradiso in SoHo is Ignacio Mattos’s larger Italian restaurant, with pastas, seafood, vegetables, and a polished but energetic room. The credit is useful for a downtown dinner where you want a serious meal without the tasting-menu price of the area’s most formal spots.

The Dining Room at Gramercy Tavern

The Dining Room at Gramercy Tavern is the formal side of the New York classic, with seasonal American tasting menus and polished service. The credit is best for anniversaries or milestones; choose the Tavern instead if you want more ordering flexibility.

Joseph Leonard

Joseph Leonard is a compact West Village American bistro from Gabriel Stulman’s Happy Cooking group, serving neighborhood cooking, brunch, cocktails, and wine in a tight, lively room. The credit works for a casual NYC meal where charm and location matter more than ceremony.

Notable Picks

Best steakhouse option

Felina Steak- Jersey City. Use this bucket only if a steakhouse was already the plan; the credit can disappear quickly on a steak dinner.

Best Italian or pizza option

Una Pizza Napoletana, Scarr's Pizza. If you want the credit to go toward dinner instead of a full production, start with these Italian or pizza options.

Best Japanese or sushi option

Muku. Check the current menu format before assuming the $150 credit covers much of the bill.

Best practical shortlist

Red Hook Tavern, Manhatta, Sailor, Musaafer - New York. These are the names that make the most sense as a normal dinner shortlist rather than a statement-credit scavenger hunt.

Final Thoughts

New Jersey looks like a strong market for using the Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables credit, but only if the eligible restaurants overlap with places you would actually visit.

For most readers, the fair value is whatever you would have spent at a participating New Jersey restaurant anyway. Anything beyond that is more coupon-book than cash.

Before booking, check the current OpenTable Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables page for New Jersey and make sure the restaurant is still participating.
