Kansas City is a dining city, but the Sapphire Reserve list is still narrow enough that you should start with the current restaurants rather than the $300 $300 annual amount.

Last checked: July 8, 2026. Restaurant participation can change.

Quick Take

For Kansas City, Chase Sapphire Reserve® Exclusive Tables currently has a short list of 3 participating restaurants. The current list is narrower than before, with 1 of the earlier restaurants no longer showing. The credit is useful only if the restaurants fit how you already plan to dine.

How the Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables Credit Works

Eligible Chase Sapphire Reserve® and J.P. Morgan Reserve cardmembers can receive up to $300 per calendar year in statement credits at Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables restaurants through OpenTable.

The credit is split into two windows:

  • Up to $150 from January 1 through June 30
  • Up to $150 from July 1 through December 31

To use the credit, dine at a participating Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables restaurant and pay with an eligible card. The credit does not apply to every OpenTable restaurant, unused credits do not roll over between the two six-month periods, and participating restaurants can change.

Eligible cardmembers can also link an eligible card on OpenTable for access to special or primetime reservation inventory. Terms apply.

Kansas City Restaurants Currently on the Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables List

Room 39 - Midtown

Room 39 on 39th Street is a farm-to-table Kansas City standby from chef-owner Ted Habiger, with seasonal menus tied to local producers and a serious wine list. The credit fits a relaxed dinner where you want ingredient-driven cooking instead of barbecue or a chain steakhouse.

Pierpont's at Union Station

Pierpont’s is the classic Kansas City steak-and-seafood option inside historic Union Station, with prime beef, fresh seafood, a global wine list, and a dramatic two-story bar. Use the credit for a business dinner, date night, or pre-event meal where setting matters.

JJ's Restaurant

JJ’s near the Plaza/Brookside area is an American steak-and-seafood restaurant best known for its wine program, including a 2025 James Beard nomination noted on OpenTable. The credit is practical for a wine-focused dinner or happy-hour-adjacent meal that still feels local.

Notable Picks

Best use if the list is narrow

Start with Room 39 - Midtown. Because the list only has 3 current options, do not assign much value unless one of them is already convenient.

Best practical shortlist

Room 39 - Midtown, Pierpont's at Union Station, JJ's Restaurant. These are the names that make the most sense as a normal dinner shortlist rather than a statement-credit scavenger hunt.

Restaurants Previously on the List

These restaurants appeared on an earlier version of the Kansas City Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables list but were not showing on the current city page as of July 8, 2026:

That does not necessarily mean they are gone permanently. OpenTable participation can change, so check the current page before booking.

Final Thoughts

Kansas City looks like a weak market for using the Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables credit, but only if the eligible restaurants overlap with places you would actually visit.

For most readers, the fair value is whatever you would have spent at a participating Kansas City restaurant anyway. Anything beyond that is more coupon-book than cash.

Before booking, check the current OpenTable Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables page for Kansas City and make sure the restaurant is still participating.
