Charlotte is a practical Chase Sapphire Reserve® market if the list lines up with your Uptown, South End, or trip plans. The key is not just whether the restaurants are good, but whether they are convenient enough to actually use.

Quick Take

For Charlotte, Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables currently has a modest list of 6 participating restaurants. The current list includes 1 restaurants that appear to be new since the earlier version. The credit is useful only if the restaurants fit how you already plan to dine.

How the Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables Credit Works

Eligible Chase Sapphire Reserve® and J.P. Morgan Reserve cardmembers can receive up to $300 per calendar year in statement credits at Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables restaurants through OpenTable.

The credit is split into two windows:

  • Up to $150 from January 1 through June 30
  • Up to $150 from July 1 through December 31

To use the credit, dine at a participating Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables restaurant and pay with an eligible card. The credit does not apply to every OpenTable restaurant, unused credits do not roll over between the two six-month periods, and participating restaurants can change.

Eligible cardmembers can also link an eligible card on OpenTable for access to special or primetime reservation inventory. Terms apply.

Charlotte Restaurants Currently on the Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables List

Fin & Fino - Uptown Charlotte

Fin & Fino Uptown is a social seafood house with oysters, small plates, fresh fish, housemade pasta, and seasonal produce. It is one of Charlotte's easiest credit uses because two diners can share seafood and drinks and put most of the $150 window toward a normal night out.

La Belle Helene

La Belle Helene is an Uptown French brasserie in a dramatic dining room, serving classic French fare, wine, and cocktails from the 5th Street Group portfolio. Use the credit for a polished date night or pre-theater dinner where entrees and drinks naturally reach the half-year cap.

The Goodyear House

The Goodyear House is a NoDa neighborhood restaurant led by chef Chris Coleman, with Southern-leaning elevated comfort food, cocktails, and a strong patio. It is a practical credit target when you want something local and casual enough for a normal dinner, not a once-a-year splurge.

Customshop

Customshop in Elizabeth is chef-owner Andres Kaifer's seasonal neighborhood restaurant, pulling from local farms with Spanish, Italian, and French influences. The $150 credit works well for a date-night dinner of changing small plates, seafood, pasta, and cocktails.

Rooster's Ballantyne

Rooster's Ballantyne is the suburban wood-fired Southern option, focused on local ingredients and chef-driven comfort food. It is useful for cardholders south of Uptown who want to use the credit without driving into the city for seafood or French brasserie pricing.

Fin & Fino - Birkdale Village

Fin & Fino Birkdale Village brings the same seafood-house formula to Huntersville: raw bar, shareable plates, housemade pasta, fish, and creative cocktails. It is a convenient Lake Norman-area credit play, especially for a group that can use the $150 window across shared dishes.

Notable Picks

Best seafood option

Fin & Fino - Uptown Charlotte, Fin & Fino - Birkdale Village. Good fit when seafood already matches the meal you had in mind.

Best practical shortlist

Fin & Fino - Uptown Charlotte, The Goodyear House, Customshop, Rooster's Ballantyne. I would check these first for a practical reservation, then move to the splurge picks only if they already fit the night.

Newly Added Restaurants

These restaurants appear to be new since the earlier version of the Charlotte Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables list:

  • Fin & Fino - Birkdale Village — currently showing for Charlotte as of this update.

Final Thoughts

Charlotte looks like a average market for using the Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables credit, but only if the eligible restaurants overlap with places you would actually visit.

The $300 annual amount is helpful, but only the portion you realistically use should count in your card math. If Charlotte's list changes where you eat just to use the benefit, value it at less than face value.

Before booking, check the current OpenTable Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables page for Charlotte and make sure the restaurant is still participating.
