Capital One has expanded its presence in the airport lounge space with a growing network of Capital One Lounges and Capital One Landings. These premium travel experiences are designed for Capital One cardholders who want to elevate their airport routine with enhanced amenities, curated dining, and relaxing spaces before a flight.

If you carry the Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card, you may already be eligible for entry into these lounges—along with access to the Priority Pass™ lounge network (enrollment required). However, upcoming changes in 2026 will affect how authorized users and guests enter these spaces.

Here’s how access works in 2025 and what to expect in 2026.

Lounge Access in 2025

As of 2025, primary cardholders of both the Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card and the Capital One Venture X Business Card receive access to:

  • Capital One Lounges
  • Capital One Landings
  • Priority Pass™ Lounges (enrollment required)

A same-day boarding pass is required for lounge entry. Entry is subject to capacity limits and may vary by location.

For the Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card, authorized users also receive lounge access when traveling, once added to the account and activated. In contrast, Capital One Venture X Business Card lounge access is only available to the primary business cardholder.

Under current policy, cardholders from either product can bring up to two guests per visit to participating lounges. Guest access terms and pricing may vary depending on the lounge network. Additional terms apply and can be reviewed through Capital One or Priority Pass™ directly.

What’s Changing in 2026

✈️ Changes for Authorized Users

Starting February 1, 2026, authorized users will no longer receive automatic lounge access. Instead:

  • Primary cardholders can pay $125 annually per additional cardholder to maintain lounge privileges for them.
  • This optional lounge add-on includes access to Capital One Lounges, Capital One Landings, and Priority Pass™ locations (subject to enrollment).
  • You can still add authorized users without lounge access at no additional cost.

If you want your authorized user(s) to continue accessing lounges, you’ll have the opportunity to opt into this benefit beginning February 1, 2026.

👥 Guest Policy Updates

Priority Pass™ Lounges

As of February 1, 2026:

  • Guests will no longer be included at no additional cost.
  • Guests can enter Priority Pass™ lounges for $35 per person, per visit, whether accompanied by the primary or eligible additional cardholder.

Capital One Lounges and Landings

Effective on the same date:

  • Guests of Venture X cardholders will no longer be included by default.
  • Venture X cardholders who spend $75,000 or more across their account in a calendar year will receive:
    • Two guests per visit at Capital One Lounges
    • One guest per visit at Capital One Landings
  • This guest access is valid for the year the spending threshold is met and the following calendar year.

If you do not meet the spending threshold, you may still bring guests at a discounted rate:

  • $45 per adult guest
  • $25 per guest age 17 or younger
  • Children under 2 may enter at no cost

Capital One Lounge Locations

Capital One Lounges are currently open at select major U.S. airports, with more on the way. You can find participating lounges and view current access guidelines on capitalonetravel.com or by checking your Capital One mobile app under card benefits.

Final Thoughts

The Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card remains a compelling option for travelers who value lounge access, travel credits, and elevated benefits. While the lounge access experience will evolve starting in 2026, cardholders still have flexible ways to maintain access for themselves, authorized users, and guests.

If you anticipate traveling with family or companions, reviewing your spending and lounge access preferences in 2025 will help you prepare for the upcoming changes. Be sure to stay up to date on Capital One’s terms and conditions to get the most from your travel benefits.
