The “Years” referenced in the calculator refer to the cardmember year, based on when you are approved for the card.

The Platinum Card® from American Express


Point Multipliers:

  • Earn 5X points points per $1 spent on flights booked directly with airlines or American Express Travel up to $500,000 on these purchases per calendar year.
  • Earn 5X points on prepaid hotels booked on amextravel.com
  • Earn 1X points on all other purchases

Credits:

  • Up to $200 annual airline fee credit per calendar year to use for incidental fees like baggage fees
  • Up to $200 Uber credit, distributed $15/month and $35 in December
  • Up to $100 Saks Fifth Avenue credit, issued in up to $50 increments every 6 months per calendar year
  • Up to $120 Global Entry or TSA Precheck credit once every 4 years
  • $200 Hotel Credit: Get $200 back in statement credits each year on prepaid Fine Hotels + Resorts® or The Hotel Collection bookings with American Express Travel when you pay with your Platinum Card®. Minimum 2 night stay is required for The Hotel Collection.

Amex Membership Rewards points are worth up to 1 cent per point when you book flights and use Pay with Points through American Express Travel.
