Everything you need to know to unlock up to $100 per year in dining credits with your American Express® Gold Card.
The American Express® Gold Card offers one of the most valuable dining benefits for food lovers: the $100 Resy dining credit. But how it works isn't always clear. Some people miss out on the credit completely because they didn’t enroll, didn’t dine at the right restaurant, or didn’t meet the semiannual timing.
You can receive up to $100 in dining credits each year when you use your American Express® Gold Card at participating U.S. restaurants listed on Resy. The credits are issued in two $50 amounts: one during the first half of the year, and another during the second half. Enrollment is required to activate this benefit. Terms apply.
This guide shows you exactly how to use the Resy credit, how to troubleshoot it, and how to maximize its benefits, without leaving money on the table.

You must enroll before your card is eligible for the credit. Here’s how:
⚠️ If you're not enrolled at the time of purchase, the credit won't trigger—even if the restaurant is eligible.
Browse Resy-partnered restaurants at Resy.com or in the Resy app. You do not need to book through Resy, but the restaurant must appear on Resy at the time you dine.
Use your American Express® Gold Card to pay the check. The full charge or even a partial split is fine, as long as it hits the enrolled Gold Card.

No. You can earn up to $50 from January to June, and up to $50 from July to December. These two halves are separate.
Enrollment through American Express is required to receive this benefit. Only the Basic Card Member or Authorized Account Manager(s) on a U.S. Consumer American Express® Gold Card Account can enroll. Each enrolled Card Account is only eligible for up to $50 in statement credits from January through June and up to $50 in statement credits from July through December. Eligible Resy purchases include purchases made directly from U.S. restaurants that offer reservations on Resy.com and the Resy app and accept American Express® Cards.
Statement credit(s) may not be received or may be reversed if an eligible purchase is returned, refunded, cancelled, or modified. Additional terms apply.
The Amex Gold Resy dining credit is easy to use once you know the rules. Just enroll, dine at a Resy-listed restaurant twice a year, and pay with your Gold Card. Combine this with other Gold Card perks like Uber credits and dining multipliers, and you’re well on your way to making the most of the annual fee.
