The ZO membership benefit on The Business Platinum Card® from American Express brings Clubhouse lounges and Studio coworking into your business travel routine. Eligible U.S. Card Members can use participating spaces for workdays away from the home office, time between appointments, or a change of setting during a business trip.

The package combines Clubhouse access, monthly Studio day passes, and an up to $500 annual statement credit for eligible purchases. If your business already pays for occasional workspace, a convenient ZO location can add useful ongoing value to the card.

What are ZO Clubhouses and Studio coworking spaces?

ZO is Tishman Speyer’s amenity network. Its Clubhouses offer places to work, meet, and take a break, with amenities that vary by location. For a consultant with appointments across town or a business owner working remotely, a convenient Clubhouse can provide a useful base during the day.

Studio provides coworking and other workspace options. Private offices, meeting rooms, and event venues may be booked separately, so check what your chosen visit includes.

A single building can have both types of space. At 1 Rockefeller Plaza in Manhattan, Studio lists floors 2 and 6, while the ZO Clubhouse is on floor 33. At The Spiral, Studio lists floors 23 and 24, and the Clubhouse is on floor 66. Check the entrance and floor for your reservation.

How to activate ZO membership and reserve a Studio visit

1. Open the ZO website or ZO app and activate your eligible membership before your first visit.
2. Choose a participating Clubhouse or U.S. Studio location.
3. Reserve Studio visits in advance through the app or online.
4. Review arrival instructions, guest rules, and any additional charges.

No separate Amex enrollment is required for this benefit, but you still need to activate the ZO membership. Terms Apply.

How the up to $500 ZO statement credit works

Eligible Card Accounts can receive up to $500 in statement credits each calendar year for qualifying ZO or Studio event-space bookings and/or the purchase of a Dining Club membership. The qualifying categories are specific: a restaurant meal is outside the stated event-space and membership purchases. Confirm the eligible product and payment route before paying.

If you already plan a team event or client gathering, compare the complete venue quote after the credit with your other options. Include any amount you would pay beyond the credit when evaluating the benefit.

Is the Amex Business Platinum ZO benefit worth using?

ZO can add meaningful value when it replaces workspace you already pay for. Consider how often you need a desk away from home, which participating locations fit your routine, and what a comparable workday would cost.

Here is an illustrative budget using a hypothetical $50 per paid workday. Use your own replacement cost when evaluating the card.

In this example, 18 qualifying visits replacing paid workdays would avoid $900 of workspace expense, compared with the card’s $895 annual fee. This calculation assumes those visits replace spending you would otherwise incur; availability, transportation, and additional charges can change the result. The Studio allowance is monthly, so match your expected visits to that limit.
