Chase Sapphire Reserve
The Chase Sapphire Reserve is my default card when it comes to dining expenses because it earns 3x points.

Amex Hilton Ascend
A new addition to my wallet is the Amex Hilton Ascend card. My plan is to meet the additional $15,000 in spend to earn a free weekend night.
Since rent is high in San Francisco, I plan on using Plastiq to pay my landlord.
If you're interested in using Plastiq, they're currently running a 2% fee promotion for AskSebby subscribers when they make a rent or mortgage payment using the following link (new accounts only): http://bit.ly/plastiqpromo. Learn more about the promotion in this post.
- Spend for free night = $15,000
- Spend I was already going to do = $3,000
- Additional spend for free night = $12,000
Cost of Spend
Assuming it was spend I would have otherwise done anyways:
- $12,000 * 2% in fees = $240 in fees
