What's In My Wallet? June 2018 Edition

The cards in my wallet rotate based on 5x categories and if I need to hit minimum spend on a new credit card.

You can view credit card offers by going to the "Credit Card Offers" tab. Find offers for the respective cards in "Hotel Credit Cards" and "Travel Rewards Credit Cards." You don't have to use our links, but we're grateful when you do. Thank you for supporting AskSebby!

Alaska Airlines Business Visa Signature

The Alaska Airlines Business card is a new addition to my wallet because I have some upcoming travel that I need to plan. I opted for the business variation because I already reached my personal card limit with Bank of America; otherwise, I would have gotten the personal version.

The Alaska Airlines card earns 30,000 points after $1,000 in spend within the first three months of account opening.

Even though I have a banking relationship with Bank of America, I was surprised that I was approved for a low credit limit.

Chase Sapphire Reserve

The Chase Sapphire Reserve is still my default card for dining expenses to earn 3x points. I'll swap it out for the Discover It card next quarter.

Amex Hilton Ascend

The Amex Hilton Ascend is in my wallet because I received the card last month. I signed up for the increased 125,000 offer because the free anniversary night offer was released right after I applied.

I'll have to spend $15,000 to earn a free weekend night.

If you're interested in getting the Ascend, I recommend going for the 100k + free weekend night your first anniversary year offer that expires on 6/27/2018. Learn more about the offer in this post
