We have a few upcoming trips to Las Vegas in 2019, and while researching hotels, I noticed that American Express recently changed the benefits covered in the Fine Hotels and Resorts program. Many fine hotels that use to offer $100 dining credit are now $100 massage/spa credit.
The changes in the program led us to research Chase’s Luxury Hotel & Resort Collection (LHRC) for Las Vegas properties.
How to use the Luxury Hotel & Resort Collection Benefit
Chase cardmembers can enjoy benefits through the LHRC when they book through the program using their Chase card.
Access LHRC here: https://www.lhrcollection.com/
I tested the portal with a Chase Freedom and Chase Sapphire Reserve card, and both worked. However, the Chase IHG Rewards Premier card didn’t work - maybe because it’s a Mastercard?
Benefits of LHRC:
Enjoy a special benefit unique to each property
Room upgrade, if available
Early check-in and check-out, if available

Below is a chart of Las Vegas LHRC properties, the rates for the weekend of Jan 4, 2019, and the benefits. The rates are low since the holidays just passed and it’s off-peak season.
One important observation is that for select hotels, the rates on LHRC are higher than the retail rate (LHRC vs. Google search column). Be sure to weigh the pros and cons of LHRC vs. retail to see which booking method will give you the most value.
