Roundup of Q3 Reminders: Plenti Program Ending, Marriott Vacation Packages, Cash Back Cards

Plenti: Ends Today (July 10)

Plenti is a rewards program that lets you earn points from select retail stores when you use an enrolled card. The Plenti program will end today, July 10, 2018.

As a reminder, you should use all your Plenti points today; otherwise, you lose them. You can use points at participating Rite Aid stores, BI-LO, Harveys, Winn-Dixie and Fresco y Mas supermarkets, and Exxon Mobile locations through 11:59 pm  ET on July 10, 2018.

If you have unused Plenti points, some retailers will be launching their own rewards programs. Exxon and Mobile, BI-LO, Winn-Dixie, Harveys and Fresco y Mas will replace, at a minimum, any unredeemed Plenti points earned at their respective locations between May 10, 2018, and July 10, 2018. The implementation may take up to two weeks after the Plenti program ends.

Marriott Vacation Packages

The "old" Marriott vacation packages will be replaced on August 1, 2018. They'll be replaced with new packages that don't have as good of a point redemption rate.

Quarterly Cash Back Cards

July is the start of Q3, so if you have a Chase Freedom, Discover It, or U.S. Bank Cash+ card, be sure to activate the quarter so you can earn 5% cash back on select categories.

Keep Your Credit Cards Active

If you have a lot of cards in rotation in your wallet, be sure to use your card at least once every 6 months to keep your cards active.

An easy way to do this is to buy Amazon gift card reloads in small amounts. Be sure to enter your own small custom amount. Here's a link for Amazon gift card reloads:
