American Express is opening a new Centurion Lounge at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) in 2019.
You can view credit card offers by going to the "Credit Card Offers" tab. Find offers for the respective cards in "Travel Rewards Credit Cards" and "Business Credit Cards." You don't have to use our links, but we're grateful when you do. Thank you for supporting AskSebby!
Who can access the Centurion Lounges?
Admission to the Centurion Lounges is complimentary for American Express Platinum and Centurion cardholder members. To access the Centurion Lounge, the cardmember must be present and have a boarding pass valid for same-day travel.
Cardmembers may bring up to two guests for no additional charge. Any additional guests will be $50 at the time of entry.
New Amex Centurion Lounge at LAX
The new lounge will be located in the Tom Bradley International Terminal (TBIT), which makes it most accessible to passengers flying American Airlines and international flights. It's a long walk between terminals at LAX, but it's worth it if you're looking for a place to relax.
Rent for the airport space costs $2.8 million for the first year and approximately $33.4 million over the ten-year term.
This news is welcome since LAX is the second busiest airport in the nation. It seems like American Express is working on expanding the Centurion Lounge network by 2-3 lounges each year.
New Centurion Lounges are also coming to Denver International Airport (DEN) and John F. Kennedy International Airport in 2019. Hopefully, American Express will also consider expanding their Centurion Suite network as well.
