One of the perks of having an American Express card is access to Amex offers and benefits.
Depending on what you’re looking for, there is a mix of good and bad offers.
You can view credit card offers by going to the "Credit Card Offers" tab. Find offers for the respective cards in "Travel Rewards Credit Cards" and "Point Rewards Credit Cards." You don't have to use our links, but we're grateful when you do. Thank you for supporting AskSebby!
How to use offers
To redeem offers in your Amex portal, simply click “Add to Card” and use the respective Amex card when purchasing from the retailer.
Keep in mind, most of these offers are for online purchases only. You can stack even more discounts by using store promo codes or cash back portals.
If you have one login for more than one Amex card, be sure to open 2 different browser windows and add the offers at the same time to apply the offer to both cards.
Example: You have an Amex SPG card and an Amex Platinum with the same offer. Open 2 tabs, have them open at the same time and add the offer.
This might not sound like a big deal, but one of the recent perks was $5 off your Android Pay purchase up to $15. If you have 2 cards with that offer, that’s $30 free just for adding the offer and using Android Pay.
If you accidentally add the offer to one card but not all of them, you can fix it by removing the card from the account, then adding it back. It’s kind of a hassle.
We recommend having a separate login for each card. I use a password manager like LastPass to remember all my logins.
Words of wisdom
I have noticed if I add an offer to one card, it’ll still be available to my other accounts. But if I use the offer, it sometimes disappears from the other cards.
To prevent offers from disappearing, add all the offers to your cards. Offers are usually limited quantities and are on a first come first serve basis.
