Airspace Lounge at New York John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) Review

If you have a flight or a layover at JFK Airport, you can access the Airspace Lounge for free. JetBlue's rooftop garden is also accessible through Terminal 5.

Where to find the Airspace Lounge

The Airspace Lounge is located post security, in Terminal 5, between gates 24 and 25. The lounge is open 4:30 AM-11PM daily, and open later during periods of heavy delays.

Who can access the lounge

American Express Platinum cardholder and up to two guests can enjoy complimentary entry to the Airspace Lounge. Each guest receives a $10 credit for premium menu items included with every entry.

Day passes are available for $25.

Lounge seating

The lounge itself is relatively small and can get crowded during peak hours. It's like a giant box with no windows.

Conclusion

If I didn't receive complimentary access through the Amex Platinum, I would skip this lounge. The chairs aren't comfortable, and there isn't a wide selection of complimentary food available. However, if you are in need of a shower, there is one available.

Another concern is the lounge was dirty. The staff is nice, but there were crumbs and plates left sitting out after 30 minutes.

Skip the $25 entry fee and head to the airport food court instead.
